The customized solution brings advanced AI into the newsroom for transcription, translation, summarization, and intelligent search, with an emphasis on performance, security, and automation.
The system running on a powerful SWARM cluster processes over 40,000 hours of video content annually in 32 languages, and thanks to native integration into Avid Cloud UX, it reduces processing time from hours to minutes. This allows editors to focus their energy on the stories themselves.
The project confirms that AI has become a natural part of the news workflow and a strategic pillar of Al Jazeera’s news production, broadcast to more than 150 countries worldwide.
